ICENI GYMNASTICS CLUB CLASSES

The following is a list of classes currently being offered.  

Please Note: Places are limited for our Structured Parent and Toddler classes on Wednesdays 4-5pm and need to be pre booked and paid for 24 hours prior to the class.  For all our other pay as you go classes booking is recommended but not essential.  Pre paid bookings can be moved if 24 hours notice is given. We are sorry, but cancellations made on the day of the class, cannot be moved or refunded.  Payment is cash on arrival or bank transfer in advance.  We do not have a card machine and therefore can not take card payments.

BABY GYM – Boys and Girls ages 0-3yrs
Monday – Friday – 9.30am – 10.30am £5.50 per session
These classes are ‘free play’ allowing the children to explore and develop co-ordination. 

PARENT & TODDLER – Boys and Girls ages 2-5yrs

Monday – Friday – 10.30am – 11.30am £5.50 per session
Monday – Friday – 11.30 – 12.30am £5.50 per session

Or Both hours for £6.50
These classes are also ‘free play ‘with some added structure to help improve co-ordination.

STRUCTURED PARENT &  TODDLER  – Boys and Girls ages 3-5yrs
Wednesday – 4.00pm – 5.00pm £6.00 per session. Places are limited to 16 so booking is essential

This is a structured class and a good progression from the parent and toddler class. Children experience jumping, swinging and balancing activities in order to improve overall co-ordination.  Parents stay on the floor with their child

PRE-SCHOOL – Boys and Girls ages 3-5yrs
Saturday – 10.00am – 10.45am £6.00 per session.  Places are limited to 30 so booking is essential. 

This is a structured class and a good progression from the parent and toddler class. Children experience jumping, swinging and balancing activities in order to improve overall co-ordination. Parents stay in the gym but do not go on the floor

MY GYM – Girls and Boys ages 10yrs+
Thursdays – 6.00pm – 7.00pm £6.50 per session 

Classes for Boys and Girls aged 10 years+  designed for those that want to maintain
fitness and revisit skills already learnt. This is a non- structured class
with coaches on hand for assistance.
 

ADULT/MY GYM – Male and Female ages 16yrs+
Thursdays – 7.00pm – 8.00pm £6.50 per session 

Classes for Men and Women aged 16 years+  designed for those that want to
maintain fitness and revisit skills already learnt. This is a non- structured class
with coaches on hand for assistance.

RECREATIONAL CLASSES Boys and Girls ages 5yrs+
Saturday – 10.30am-12.00pm
Monday – 6.00pm – 7.30pm
Tuesday – 5.00pm – 6.00pm / 6.00pm – 7.00pm / 7.00pm – 8.00pm

These classes are designed to teach your children the basics of gymnastics, working towards awards designed by British Gymnastics, the scheme assists in the progressive development of core skills such as balance, strength, flexibility and co-ordination. 

Recreation class fees:

Courses are 10 weeks, costing between £65 & £75 depending on the length on the class. Each child is also required to have the British gymnastics insurance at
a cost of £24.00 per annum.

The next step of gymnastics is ultimately to learn new skills and work towards competing.
These classes are by trial only

Volunteers:
If you can give up some of your time to help out in any of our classes, please speak to one of the coaches; it doesn’t have to be a commitment for every week. For any further questions, queries or just an update of your child’s development feel free to come and chat to us at the end of any session.

Health and safety:

  • Gymnastics is a high risk sport that requires dedication and commitment, from time to time injuries will occur. We try to ensure your safety at all times. Please help us by listening to instructions from coaches to try to prevent any unnecessary injuries.
  • All Parents /carer’s should ensure that children are ready for the session in the appropriate attire (t-shirt and shorts or leotard).
  • No child is to be left in the gym without a coach present.
  • Please be considerate and respectful of your fellow gymnast and coaches, inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
  • All Gymnasts are to be aware of movement around the gym always look around to see where fellow gymnasts are working, before crossing the Gym. Some moves require long run ups and disruptions can cause injuries.
  • To ensure safety first, no person is to use equipment unless accompanied by a coach.
  • No jewellery, long hair to be tied back and bring a drink of water to the class.

When attending class children should wear appropriate clothing to and from class, please ensure you dress fully when leaving particularly in the winter.

Conditioning is an essential part of gymnastics, to maintain strength and ability. If you put in a small amount of effort daily you will see the difference. Parents please support and encourage your children with conditioning
